Private Joe Delaronde (also spelled De La Ronde and Delarond) was a member of the Red Rock Band. He and three brothers all volunteered for military service and the newspaper article above outlines his accomplishments in service during the First World War and his award of the Military Medal for acts of bravery on the battlefield. Delaronde joined the 52nd Battalion out of Fort William, ON.
