Private William Thomas Opie is thought to be the only Opie to have enlisted in World War One. He fought with the 52nd Battalion.  He was the great-grandfather of Brian Wright of Neebing. Brian has contributed documentation and photographs pertaining to William’s life and experience during the Great War.
